Social media is a great tool for communication. However, a recent study shows that too much use is linked to depression. The average person spends two-hours every day on social media and TEENS are spending up to NINE HOURS each day on social platforms.
A recent study by the University of Pennsylvania measured the effects of social media use on mental health, and the impact on feelings of loneliness, anxiety, depression and self-esteem. If you can't remember the last time you went a whole day without checking social media, you may be addicted, and your mental health may be suffering for it. Consider a detox.
