Football Season tickets will be available TONIGHT, Mon.Aug. 6th & Wed. Aug. 8th in the High School Activities Office: 5:00-6:30pm. Adult reserved is $35, senior citizen reserved is $30, student yearly sports passes is $50, and reserved parking pass is $20. You can also process your pay-to-play paperwork & payments, too! Freshman schedule pick- up day is Thu. 8/16, Sophomore Fri. 8/17, Juniors Mon. 8/20 and Seniors Tue.8/21 in the high school academic office. Times for each day are 8:30-11:30am and 12:00-2:30pm.
There is a small pile of bricks from the Gomer library at the end of the alley near the parking lot on the west side of the construction. There will be more on Monday and Tuesday (July 30 & 31) from the Old section of the school.
Demolition of the Gomer School Building will begin Wed., July 25, 2018. Fenson Contracting, LLC of Ft. Jennings will have until Mid-September to complete the work. An area will be made available to the side for clean, memorial bricks.
Elida FFA is sponsoring a Blood Donor Day on Wednesday, July 18 from Noon-6pm in the High School Gym.

Congratulations to Senior McKayla Gilbert who was awarded a $4,000 scholarship by the Kiwanis Club of Lima! McKayla will study music at Heidelberg University. The check was presented by Music Chair Crystal Miller during the Kiwanis Club of Lima’s annual music awards luncheon at the Lima Masonic Center.

The Annual Relay for Life is Sat., May 12 9am-9pm at the track stadium. The Student Activities Committee has lots of activities planned: Corn Hole, Flag Football, Walk-a-thon, bucket toss, food boothes and raffles, too! All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
ATTENTION SENIORS & SENIOR PARENTS:It is time to start submitting images for the Senior Slideshow to be displayed during the graduation ceremony. Each graduating senior is asked to submit a baby picture, a picture from middle school, and a senior picture to the Reflector yearbook staff for this presentation.

We are starting this school year with very special recognition for our high school Computer Science Teacher, Mr. Mark Suter. Mark has been named the District 1 Teacher of the Year by the Ohio State Board of Education. (District 1 encompasses 22 counties in Northwest Ohio.) He received a commendation from the State of Ohio. We also welcomed Representative Bob Cupp who attended our staff meeting today to personally congratulate Mark on this accomplishment. Mark is now one of just five teachers to be considered for Ohio's Teacher of the Year. We are proud to have Mark Suter on our staff, leading and teaching our students. Elida graduate and Ohio University Linebacker Quentin Poling has been chosen to play in the 2018 Collegiate Bowl on January 20 in Rose Bowl Stadium.The Collegiate Bowl gives prospective players the best opportunity to showcase their talents to potential employers and fans. Nearly 200 scouts, player personnel staff, general managers and head coaches from all 32 NFL teams are expected be in attendance. More in this article from the Ohio University website. The Winter Informal, previously known as Sadies, will take place this Friday, Jan. 26 after the boys' basketball game (830-11pm) in the Commons. The dance is open to all Elida High School students. Tickets are $5.....
The Wellness Committee will be scheduling a meeting in early April. The 2018 edition of the Reflector Yearbook is on sale in Mrs. Glenn's room for $75.00 through the end of April. Checks should be made to Elida High School with "Reflector" in the memo. Down-payments of $25 will reserve a book, although all books must be paid in full by May 23rd. Please bring orders in an envelope marked with the student's name and the name of their Bulldog teacher.
High School Exams are scheduled for Jan. 11 & 12 with an Open Campus Schedule. In the event of weather cancellations, the exams for that day will be re-scheduled for the next day school is in session. See this Document for more detail.
