Prom 2019 Elida High School Junior / Senior Prom is Saturday May 04, 2019, at the UNOH Event Center from 8:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. Tickets will be $15.00 for EHS Students and $17.00 for Non - EHS Students Ticket Sales will begin Tues., April 23, 2019, and will end on Thurs., May 02, 2019. Tickets will be sold at lunch time each day.


VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: OIO will offer free sports physicals for Elida Middle School and High School student athletes at OIO on May 6th and May 13th. These physicals are not possible without volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering one of those evenings, please contact Jolene Sarno in the Activities Office at 419-331-2580.

Ohio Fair School Funding Plan

State Representatives Robert Cupp, (R-Lima) and John Patterson, (D-Jefferson) unveiled details of their "Fair School Funding Plan,"  Read more at the Ohio Fair School Funding website and in the Lima Newspaper. The whole proposal would take four years to roll out if approved by the Ohio House and Senate and signed by the governor. Elida's Treasurer Joel Parker remarks:

OIO Providing Free Physicals

OIO is offering free sports physicals on Monday, May 6th and Monday, May 13th from 5:30-7:30 pm. Any student planning on playing a sport next school year, it is highly encouraged they attend one of these evenings. This free physical will covers students for the entire school year. Students can pick up physical paperwork in the Activities Office. All of the forms need filled out by parents before going to OIO. There are sign up sheets in the Activities Office if transportation is needed.

Hiring Bus Drivers

Elida Needs Bus Drivers! Contact Gregg Roth at 419-331-4135. Our current bus staff is stepping up to fill the void best they can to get students to and from school and events, but we had to eliminate a bus route. There will be changes in some bus route pick-up and return times and a letter will go home for those routes greatly affected.

McTeacher Night mcdonalsd

Elida Elementary is looking forward to McTeacher Night on Wed., April 24th from 5-7PM at the McDonalds on N. West Street. More details to come!

High School Talent Show

The Student Activities Council's Annual High School Talent Show is Sat., April 27 at 8:00 in the Auditorium. The SAC will accept "dinner style" canned goods or monetary donations for Meals 'til Monday. Come see this entertaining show and help support all the efforts of the SAC. 

District to Install Solar Power Arrays

Elida Schools will be installing two solar arrays in the district this summer! This solar project with Entrust, LLC of Hamilton, Indiana will provide signficant cost savings to the district and our taxpayers and enables us to be responsible with our energy use in the district. The 2 megawatt PV solar system will help fund other energy conservation measures in the district including Lighting retrofits, HVAC controls, heating water boilers, and domestic water heating systems. We are excited to be one of the first in the region to make these significant improvements in our school district.  

2019-20 Kindergarten Registration

If your child will be 5 years old on or before August 1, 2019 they can attend kindergarten at Elida Elementary. Register in the office Mon.-Fri. 8:00-4:00 pm. Bring Birth Certificate, SS Card, Immunization Record, Custody Order (if applicable) Parent/Guardian Photo ID, Proof of Residence (deed, lease as well as current utility bill, less than 30 days old)For more info. call 419-331-7901. Screenings will be held Fri., May 24th & Tues. May 28th. REGISTRATION PACKET.
