 Elida Local Schools are happy to announce that Elida High School has achieved top ranking in the U.S. News Best High Schools 2026 report-Top 25% in the nation. By earning a national ranking in the top 25%, Elida High School achieved status as a U.S. News Best High School.
Out of 702 Ohio High Schools ranked, Elida ranked #172. 

Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 3309.345, the Elida Local School District Board of Education gives notice that Bus Driver Paula Frankhouser retired under the School Employee Retirement System, effective May 31, 2026, and is seeking employment with this Board thereafter in the same position. The Board will hold a public meeting on September 15, 2026, at 6:30 pm at the Elida High School Community Room on the issue of re-employment with the Board. The Board has determined that due to the shortage of available bus drivers, there are urgent reasons requiring this position to be filled in an expedited manner. As such, this notice is being given at least 30 days before re-employment with the Board will begin.
