Free & Reduced Meal Applications & Information 2021-22

ALL children will receive meals at NO CHARGE for the 2021-2022 school year. This program is funded from the USDA. Please continue to fill out a Free & Reduced Form, as you may be eligible for additional benefits.

Free & Reduced Meal Applications are accepted the entire year online at www.payschoolcentral.com

Offer vs Serve Policy Offer VS. Serve provision of the school lunch program means students are offered  five food components each day from within the federally-required traditional lunch pattern. Elida Local Schools offers this to students in grades K-12. All students are encouraged to take all items offered on the meal. However under Offer vs Serve, students need only take a minimum of three of the five food components offered one of which must be a fruit or a vegetable component.  Offer Vs. Serve allows students to refuse a food item they do not like, encourages freedom of choice, and helps to eliminate waste.

Breakfast is served daily at the High School & Middle School. On delay days, the Elementary does not serve breakfast. Students are to come directly to the cafeteria from the bus in the morning.

Product Availability Concerns

While the school experience may look more normal this year, the impacts of COVID continue to wreak havoc on nearly all industry globally, including food service. Combined with a litany of other COVID-related issues, there will be intense pressure on all level of the food supply chain nationwide. Through no fault of our own, we will experience significant product availability issues. We will do everything possible to keep posted menus as accurate as possible, but will have to adjust as products become unavailable.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate through this school year.
