• 21 staff members 
• 13 contracted  drivers have a total of 99 years of experience
• 1 mechanic has 27 years of experience
• 1 secretary has 24 years of experience
• 1 supervisor has 32 years of experience
• The department is staffed 11 hours a day
• Weather conditions are checked every morning prior to 6:00 am
• New drivers train about 50 hours to become a bus driver
• 37 vehicles are maintained: 24 buses, 2 vans, 5 maintenance vehicles, 1 band truck and 4 driver education cars
• Bus drivers drive over 220,000 miles annually
• 35,000 gallons of fuel were used in 2023-24 school year
• 15 buses are dispatched daily
• 1,510 bus stops are made daily
• 1,233 miles are traveled by the buses daily
• 1,663  students are transported daily
• 49 railroad crossings are made daily
• Elida buses transport students to 10 school buildings and serve 3 daycare facilities
• Each bus is inspected: daily by the driver and weekly by the mechanic
• 4 safety drills are conducted yearly per route
• Every eligible rider is given safety instruction annually
• Average age of the bus fleet is 8 years old with the oldest route bus being 10 years old.
