ELIDA HAS  A RENEWAL LEVY ON THE MAY 6 BALLOT
The Elida School Board voted to approve the renewal of the current
$2.7 million Emergency Levy.
Emergency levy dollars represent 11% of all revenue received by
the district and is used for day-to-day operations including salaries, benefits,  supplies, curriculum, etc.  This renewal levy
was first passed back in 2005. It generated $2.7 million then,
and continues to generate $2.7 million annually for the district.

What is the Levy?
It is the renewal of the current $2.7 million Emergency Levy. It is not a new tax, and is not a tax increase, and is the same amount that was approved in 2005.

What does Emergency Levy Mean?                                  The term "Emergency Levy" does not refer to a "crisis" . It is just the legal terminology stipulated by state law, and many districts use this type of levy.  An emergency levy generates a specified (fixed) amount of annual funding every year.- no more, and no less.
