3-18-2020 Food Distribution for Elida Students

Elida will distribute meals to students beginning on Monday, March 23rd. Please read this LETTER from Supt. Mengerink with complete details. 

3-18-2020 Building Offices Closed until Further Notice

As of March 18th, offices are now closed until further notice. Please do not place a call to the buildings as those calls will go unanswered. Your best source of getting assistance is your child’s teacher(s)

3-17-2020 Elida Social Workers Provide Family Assistance

District social workers are available both via email and schoology message to help with any mental health or parent support sessions from 8:00-2:00. 3-16-2020 Charter to Offer Free Access to Wi-Fi & Broadband

Parents who don’t have internet at home can get free broadband, including installation, from Spectrum for 60 days. Spectrum parent company Charter announced that, starting today, they will offer free Spectrum broadband and wi-fi for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students. Elida Schools Closed through April 3, 2020.

Following Governor Mike DeWine's announcement on March 12, 2020, Elida Schools will be closed BEGINNING Monday, March 16-April 3, 2020.  We have information for families and resources available at this page: Information and Updates Here

3-12-2020 Coronavirus School Cancelation

In light of the current virus situation, Elida Schools will be closed for 3 weeks after the school day on Friday, March 13. More details will follow.

2nd Grade Musical: "The Bremen Town Jam"

Please join Mrs.Troyer's Second Graders on April 2nd at 7:00pm in the High School Auditorium for their Spring musical The Bremen Town Jam! Join a pair of modern day Brothers Grimm and a delightful re-telling of their famous take on the classic tale, the Bremen Town Musicians. In this musical version, you will meet the same lovable characters from the original story, a Donkey named Chocolate and his friends the hound, cat and rooster as they make their way to Bremen Town to join other musicians in an unforgettable JAM session. Along the way, they'll meet a ridiculous room of rascally robbers who need to be taught a lesson. In the end, all will learn the value of sticking together with your friends and ultimately making beautiful music together. 

Elementary Coin Drive for United Way united

The elementary recently held a coin drive for The United Way and with everyone's generosity they raised over $400! Way to go, Elida Elementary!

Make-Up Day for Cancelation

Due to the cancelation of school on Feb. 27th, the last day of school for students will now be Thursday, May 28th with a TWO-HOUR EARLY RELEASE. Any additional cancelations will result in another make-up day.

Students Excel at Mathcounts Competition

Elida students recently competed at the 5th Annual Northwest Ohio Mathcounts Competition and placed 4th out of 13 schools participating.  The team included 8th grade students Ethan Ramsdail, Logan Tolliver, Dean Baumgardner and Zach Schmunk. Of the 81 students competing, Logan Tolliver placed in the top 6 and he will compete in the State Competition being held on March 7th. Other Elida students participating were Isabella Schlosser,Jalen Gladen,Mason Troyer and Olivia Schlosser.

 

 

Kindergarten Registration for 2020-21

Registration for new, incoming kindergarten students begins on Monday, January 13, 2020. The registration packet is linked HERE.  Kindergarten screening will be Thursday, May 21st and Friday May, 22nd at Elida Immanuel Church from 8:00-3:00. Any questions call the elementary office 419-331-7901
