Summer Library Program To-Go Kits

This year's library program is a little different than previous years. We are providing To-Go Reading and Activity Packets for our students PK-6 grades.FLYER.  Each week, packets will be available with reading activities, arts/crafts and STEM challenges.Here are the dates/times for pick-up in front of Elida Elementary School: Wed., June 10, Wed., June 17 & Wed., June 24th from 10 am-11 am. Drive- up in front of the elementary & library staff will bring the Free packets to you! First Come First Serve Basis.  This publication funded in part through a federal institute of Museum & Library Services LSTA grant awarded by the State Library of Ohio.

Elementary Construction Weekly Update

5.22.2020 Here is the weekly elementary construction update from Garmann/Miiler. Progress this week included Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing in wall rough where needed • Floor prep for concrete pours continues and concrete pours taken place • Doorframe installation. 

Middle School Blue Ribbon Awards Winners blue

Congratulations to the 2019-20 Blue Ribbon award winners this year. These students have met rigorous academic and behavioral requirements throughout the school year. Thank you to the students, the staff and families that support these students for their daily effort and focus. 8th grade Recognition-May 28th

The 8th grade recognition event will take place on Thursday, May 28th starting at 10am. The recognition will include passing out awards to the 8th grade students who have passed all their classes and are being promoted to 9th grade. Participation is voluntary. Athletic News: Physicals

A note from the Elida Athletic Department: The 20-21 physical form along with the athletic paperwork for the 20-21 season has been updated on the Athletic Webpage  If you go the the athletic page look under documents you should find all the information. With the cancellation of the free physicals at OIO, we will have a large amount of athletes that will need new physicals in order to start lifting, conditioning and practicing once the restrictions are lifted for schools. We encourage you to start making your physical appointments now before the doctor offices become bombarded.

Middle School Yearbook Update

Students and Parents, We have been in contact with Lifetouch regarding school yearbooks and have been told that due to plant shutdowns resulting from COVID19, they are running 2-4 weeks behind schedule.  A recent email from our Representative added,  "Currently our yearbook plants are open and printing, although running with reduced staff to adhere to social distancing mandates necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic." Once we receive notice our 19-20 yearbooks are being shipped, we will put out information regarding pick up options.

Cross Country Updates

Cross Country Information: While we don't know what the fall season looks like right now, the Cross Country coaches are looking ahead! For students interested in joining the team: For sign ups and more information, join the Remind app. For the middleschool boys and girls team (incoming 7th and 8th graders), please text @ctafl to the number 81010. Coach Claire Taflinger is the middle school coach. For incoming 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders (boys and girls) please text @maltst to the number 81010. Coach Mark Altstaetter is the high school coach. Both coaches will keep the prospective athletes informed on what all will take place between now and the start of the season. Meal Distributions Continue until May 27, 2020

5.8.2020 Elida Schools will continue to distribute meals until Wednesday, May 27th. This will be a 3 day meal bag as usual. We will not distribute on Memorial Day, Mon., May 25th. On Wednesday, May 20th, we will cover for Monday & Tuesday of the next week, so it will be a 5 day meal bag. Locations: Lima Community Church near the Axis Bldg., & Temple Christian School/Lima Baptist Temple.10:30-11:30 am.

School District Closure Extended Through June 30, 2020

By order of the Ohio Health Department, the closure of school buildings, facilities, and activities has been extended through June 30, 2020. For the purpose of clarity, this closure includes all activities inside school buildings and on outside athletic facilities. It includes high school activities/sports all the way down through youth sports

Kindergarten 2020-21 Registration

A child who will be 5 years of age on or before August 1, 2020 and lives in the Elida Local School district is eligible to attend Kindergarten classes at Elida Elementary School. Please use this link to access Online Registration Forms to register your child. You can also use traditional paper forms to print, fill out and mail to the Central Office. Print- out Registration Forms (please note that the screening dates are not applicable due to COVID-19)  

Open Enrollment 2020-21 Information

Census Update

4.30.2020 Due to the  coronavirus, the deadline for self-response to the 2020 Census has been extended to October 31 (from August 14). See the document with the most recent STATISTICS of census data from Allen County. Elida returns are at 74% so far.

Yearbook News & Senior Information: Slide-Show & Yearbook Ads: Please send DIGITAL IMAGES for the senior slide show to Katherine Glenn at You must include a CURRENT picture of your senior; other images are optional. Typically we include a baby picture, a picture from middle school, and the senior picture. Senior pictures DO NOT need to be professionally taken. There is no deadline for submissions at this time; we will notify you of any changes after May 1st. 4.9.2020 Elementary Construction Update

Construction on the new elementary building continues with many new developments this week including finishing the footers for the building and connecting the domestic water line. Next week goal to put up the storm shelter walls. See more details and great photos in the CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

4.6.2020 Share Photos for the Reflector Yearbook year

Students and staff can submit pictures and video of themselves while we are out of school to be used in the High School "Reflector" Yearbook. Anyone can get a mobile app at either the App Store or Google Play, or they can go to the website and upload there. Our password to submit images is #Bulldawg20.

3.31.2020 Driver's Ed Classes Canceled
