This is an introductory hands-on course in Construction Technology for students in 9th and 10th grades.
1st Semester we cover hands-on, real world topics such as Residential Wiring, Residential Plumbing, Architectural Structures, Landscape Design, Carpentry, Cabinet Making, Residential Construction, AutoCAD, and Measurement systems.
2nd Semester we go into the shop to discuss machine safety, tool identification, fastners, sanding, finishes and general shop procedures. Each student will apply what they learn and build their own canvas rocking chair. (Example pictured in Image Gallery below)
